The Author

Ron Londen has always loved science, especially astronomy, and the space program. Some of Ron’s earliest childhood memories involve sitting alone on the floor of his family’s TV room in Phoenix, watching the pre-dawn preparation for Gemini space flights. He swore his one-piece pajamas would one day be replaced by a space suit. But in a few years, his eyes betrayed him; nearsightedness required a new career plan. He discovered photography, and then a passion for writing. In the forty years since, he’s been telling stories with pictures, words and word-pictures.

After a 15-year career in newspapers as a photographer, photo editor and director of photography at various newspapers, Ron left daily journalism to join two friends in an entrepreneurial venture. Since Ron joined Journey Group in 1995, the Charlottesville-based creative agency has grown to 30 employees. Journey’s clients are as varied as the United States Postal Service, World Vision, Ethiopian Airlines and the University of Virginia. Ron’s work with Journey has varied as well, ranging from major writing projects to brand strategy development to photography and video work on several continents.

In 2007, Ron scaled back his work with Journey Group to create time for a research effort that has become, seven years later, The God Abduction.

Ron and his wife, Christine, live in central Virginia with their pugs, Quincy and Romo. They have three grown daughters and four grandchildren.
